After training in private practice, David’s post qualification experience includes extensive consultancy services for both developer and contracting based clients, including acting as Commercial Director for a regional contractor. Appointments include examiner for the Graduate Entry Examination for the IQS, External Examiner/Moderator on four Quantity Surveying Degree/Diploma courses, and Working Party Chairman for Lancashire on the RICS Test of Professional Competence Panel.

David has lectured extensively on construction techniques and quantity surveying and his expertise extends into project management and planning functions. Since joining Driver Consult Ltd, David specialises in providing claims and expert witness services, to building, mechanical and civil engineering clients. David is also a trained Adjudicator and Mediator provides adjudication, arbitration and litigation support and has acted as expert witness on a variety of projects, including given expert evidence in the Construction and Technology Courts and Arbitration proceedings.
